That is what's printed on the sticker I got for donating blood! It was my first time and all the nurses were really nice, I got a milkshake after and some bickies and even a piece of Henri Dunant's birthday cake! Henri was the founder of the Red Cross and was born on the 8th of May 1828 in Switzerland. I chose a good day for my first time giving blood.
Eeek! Me looking scared right before the nurse put the needle in my arm.
The needle is in and that is my blood in the bag. They took 500ml of blood in about 15 minutes.
Me and Belinda, one of the nurses, reading horsedeals.
After I had cake, milkshake, bisciuts and jellybeans. This is me at the front door leaving. So now do your bit and donate blood too.
