Showjumping in the Orchard
10062006

Today was the showjumping at the Orchard and I took Comanche in the 90cm unofficial and the pony jumper class. I was supposed to take Kai but my silly pony hurt his leg and is having a bit of a rest. I had a great time and Comanche was so good, but the weather was terrible. As soon as my first round was over it started to rain and did not stop! I was there for 10 hours just for two classes, there was 60 competitors in the first three classes so it took a while...
We didn't win anything but I was pretty happy with the day and I got to see Copabella Visage jump too! I have pictures of that but I will put them up later. So here are the pictures of the prettiest pony at the comp and me!

The before photo...
...the after photo. See all the mist in the background? It was really cold and cloudy.
Time to warm up.
I only warmed up over little jumps so Comanche didn't tire himself out. It takes a lot of energy to haul that belly over 90cm jumps!
Over the first jump in our 90cm course.
I was so nervous, thank goodness Comanche knew what to do.
I got eliminated in this class for 3 refusals :( I just wasn't pushing Comanche enough but I did get him over those fences so I was happy.
Then 10 hours later...it was dark and raining so these pictures aren't the greatest. This is the pony jumper class.
We got to jump in the main arena and that was alot of fun, with lots of people watching and all the pretty jumps!
This time around I was a little more brave and we only had one refusal and we where 8th out of 10.
It was so much fun!
Comanche is such a pretty boy!
Shame it is so blurry...
Thanks mum for taking me and being my groom and photographer for the day!
