Today was the last day of the hunting season and John took me out. I had great fun hiking in the Catskills looking out for deer. Do I get one? Read on to find out...

An old farmers house.
The inside of the house.
An old birdcage and other artifacts of the family long gone.
John took me for a drive around the area we would be hunting in and we came across this house with turkeys, peacocks, chickens, guinea fowl etc running all about the place.
The turkeys started to chase me so I ran back into the car.
Then we started the hunt. John walked ahead.
A beaver dam.
The frozen creek that runs out from the beaver dam.
The beavers live in that big pile of sticks in the middle of the frozen dam they made.
Here there was a bit of a road to follow.
Self portrait infront of an old stonewall.
All the while ready to shoot at a passing deer ;)
John noticed a deer bed, so there must be deer here somewhere.
Walking down to cross a creek.
A log with squirrel tracks on it.
Another old log that has bent.
An old lookout in a tree.
I didn't see any deer but I did see some of their poo.
My very first time firing a gun of any sort ;)

John's Uncle Jimmy let me have a go with his pistol.
Trying to aim was kinda hard.
John and his Uncle Lenny go down to see if I actually hit anything.
Time to let a pro have a go.
John having a shoot out.
See all the holes? I put them there with the shotgun :)
John's Uncles Lenny and Jimmy with John.
And John's Uncles with me :)
It was a fun day :)
